Very beautiful and no doubt the momma loves her child and she is a sanctuary for him. He trusts his momma to hold him when "too much" information is suddenly coming in...it can be overwhelming.
There is nothing like the embrace of a women to help console the mind of a child....She loves her baby and she wants him to have the ability to hear. She wants him to have a better future.

Now, I've seen a movie where they suggest hearing implants can do a disservice to one who is deaf and I think there is credibility in that, but I also think it matters on a case-by-case level as to what is best for somebody who is deaf. In this instance, assuming the implants (or whatever approach was used to help the child's brain interpret sound waves) facilitate the child's ability to better sense the world around, then it can be a change for the better. The complaint that the movie presented, and I think this is more the case for somebody who lost their hearing after having the ability to hear, is that the sounds coming in are not "natural". I don't deny the validity of that sentiment and that is why it is case-by-case.

When there are "good doctors" they have the training and the wisdom (supposedly) to help inform parents choices about therapy that may be helpful. It is a delicate balance.

So, it is with sadness that I say in the world today, so many doctors have lost touch with the healing of a patient who entrust them to be helpful on the road to recovery. It is a travesty that the Medical Establishment has lost all faith in their own profession at least when it comes to choices they have made. That is why it is also fair for those who refuse to use the services of the Medical Establishment going forward - they have collectively shown their true colors even if amongst them are individuals who remember the Hippocratic oath.
